Timing is Everything

The story:

"Hunter and I went to the same high school, he was a football player, I was more of a punk/emo kid. We knew of each other but our friend groups didn’t cross much. We had a class together senior year, and even sat at the same table, but on opposite ends with two other students between us so we didn’t talk much then. We went to separate colleges.

Fast forward, and we ended up matching on Hinge while he was living in DC and I was in Frederick. Been together for five years now. Funny how you can have parallel lives with someone for so long, not knowing when or if your paths will even cross. Timing is truly everything!"

The proposal: 

"We had planned reservations at Wye Oak and the Visitation hotel to celebrate our five year dating anniversary! After the most amazing dinner of my life,  the waiter asked what we wanted for dessert and Hunter was waiting to do the proposal after dessert—I asked for a cookie to go and then Hunter immediately just started talking about how much he loves me and how far we have come.

I was so oblivious just talking back to him just reminiscing on our last five years and then he keptttt going onnnn haha and then when he stood up I realized what was happening and he got down on one knee and all the tables around us cheered and a waiter was immediately at our table and popped a bottle of champagne. It was truly so perfect!!"
